DCI detectives have arrested Migori governor Okoth Obado following a raid by EACC officers in his homes yesterday where eight guns were found.
The Anti-corruption officials were at his homes to look for crucial evidence in a corruption scandal that the Migori county boss is being accused of.
Obado is accused of using proxies to siphon a whooping ksh 2 billion from the county coffers.
Five guns were found in Obado’s lavington home while the other three were found in Migori.
This is the second time in a span of one month that the governor is being arrested.
No communication has come from the DCI headquarters on what action they intend to take against the governor.
