Migori governor to undergo DNA test in Sharon Otieno’s murder case

Migori governor Okoth Obado is set to undergo a DNA test in the sharon Otieno’s murder case.

Sharon who was murdered a week ago was seven months pregnant at the time of her death and it is believed the pregnancy belonged to governor Obado.

The Migori governor has been vastly mentioned in the murder of the second year student at Rongo University.

Journalist Barrack Oduor who escaped death by a whisker had earlier stated that the late Sharon Otieno had played him an audio recording of the governor pleading with her to procure an abortion.

According to Barrack , Obado wanted the pregnancy terminated as he feared his image would be tainted if Sharon chose to keep it.

Detectives have now decided to conduct DNA tests on the Migori governor as part of their investigations.

In police custody over the murder are Obado’s PA Michael Oyamo and a former MCA in Homa Bay county Lawrence Mula.

Governor Obado was yesterday grilled for close to eight hours at the DCI headquarters in Kisumu county.

He was later driven to Nairobi for further questioning.
