Migori police have found the car that was used to abduct the late Sharon Otieno.
The Toyota Fielder Registration number KCL 481K belongs to a senior employee of Migori county.
Sharon was abducted alongside Nation Media Group journalist Barrack Oduor after a meeting with Mr Michael Oyamo at Graca hotel in Rongo town.
Mr Oyamo is believed to be the personal assistant of governor Okoth Obado.
Barrack was lucky to escape from the jaws of death but poor Sharon got murdered and her body dumped at Kodera forest in Oyugis town.
The owner of the car is known as Olivia Oloo.
The officers in Migori also arrested Mr. Jack, Olivia Oloo’s driver and are questioning him to find out if he knows the killers.
“We are holding the vehicle. We also arrested the driver,” said a DCI officer privy to the arrests.
The police have also questioned the owner of the car Olivia Oloo to establish if she knew that it had been hired out to the kidnappers.
Migori County police commander Joseph Nthenge could neither confirm nor deny the arrest. The impounded car is currently at Migori police station.
Mr Nthenge confirmed that they had already interrogated two people in connection with the killing of the student.
Officers on patrol in Migori sighted the car as it was being driven by a senior county official. This after CCTV footage at Graca hotel spotted the car as the one that carried Barrack , Sharon and Oyamo as they left the hotel.
