Uganda police have banned the supporters of Bobi Wine from gathering to receive him at the Entebbe airport.
Bobi Wine is expected to land in the country today following a short stay in the USA where he had gone to seek for medical attention.
Uganda police spokesman Emillian Kayima had earlier on issued a statement saying that only the immediate family of the young legislator was going to be allowed to receive him.
Bobi wine however through a post on his Twitter handle rubbished the sentiments stating that he was a free Ugandan who should be accorded his freedom of movement and further those wishing to welcome him shouldn’t be limited.
“I am a free Ugandan with the right to move freely in my country. The police has no business telling me who receives me and who cannot or where I go and where I cannot. This impunity must stop now.” He tweeted.
Already a contingent of heavily armed military officers has been deployed on the road leading to the Entebbe airport to deny Bobi’s supporters access to the airport.
